Spinal Decompression Therapy
Spinal Decompression is a nonsurgical treatment of degenerative disc disease, bulging or herniated discs, spinal arthritis, and the associated symptoms of these disorders. It utilizes traction and can be gently applied to treat the neck or lower back. Some of the symptoms associated with these disorders include sciatica, hip/leg/thigh pain, arm pain, shoulder pain, numbness and tingling in the extremities, and upper back pain.
Electrical Muscle Stimulation (Electrotherapy)
EMS is used for pain management, treatment of neuromuscular dysfunction, improving range of motion and joint mobility, tissue repair, to reduce inflammation, and to increase peripheral blood flow to the affected area.
The benefits of therapeutic ultrasound include speeding up the healing process of soft tissue injuries by increasing blood flow to the treated area, decrease in pain by reducing inflammation, and softening and reduction of scar tissue that develops from soft tissue injuries. It can be used in the treatment of back and neck pain, bursitis, tendonitis, sprain/strain injuries, and osteoarthritis.
All patients may enjoy a relaxing hydro-massage, free of charge. It is a small water bed that uses heat and high pressure water jets inside the mattress to provide a relaxing massage to relieve sore muscles.
Spinal manipulation, or a spinal adjustment, is the hands on treatment of the spine. Spinal manipulation can be performed safely and without pain in most patients.
X-rays for most patients are taken and read in the office.
